Why most AI radio voices fail

Text-to-speech has become extremely good at sounding human for ten seconds. Stations discover the problem on day three, not day one.

The voice is fine. What breaks the illusion is everything around it. The same sentence structure every hour. The same three ways of introducing a song. A morning voice with the same energy at two in the morning. A host that reacts to nothing, because it knows nothing about what is playing. Listeners cannot always say why it sounds wrong, but they stop believing there is anybody there.

A personality is the fix. Not a better voice — a character that behaves consistently across the day and across the week.

You name your presenters and your shows in the setup wizard, and you place them in your grid. The morning host is a different person from the evening host, and the audience can tell.

A daypart behaviour

Tone, pace and content adapt to the hour: bright and quick in morning drive, warmer in the evening, calmer overnight. The same personality, at a different moment of the day — the way a real presenter modulates.

Something to say

Every break is built from real material: the songs actually in the hour, artist stories and anecdotes, upcoming concert dates for artists in rotation, the date's anniversaries, weather, and local news depending on your plan. A personality with nothing to talk about is just a voice.

No repetition

An anti-repetition engine tracks every phrase used across the broadcast window. Openings vary, structures vary, and the host does not reuse the line it used two hours ago.

Spoken language, not written language

On Premium plans, every script passes through a second editorial layer before it is voiced. It rewrites the break the way a host actually talks: varied openings, natural rhythm, the occasional personal reaction, less mechanical transitions. The facts stay exactly as produced — artists, titles, times, concerts. Only the telling changes.

Common questions

Will listeners know it is AI?

You decide what you disclose. What matters technically is that the presentation is built from your real playlist, processed like a real voice, and placed correctly against the music.

Can I have a different personality per show?

Yes. Voices are assigned per show and per daypart, with your own show names.

Can I clone a presenter who has left?

Only with their authorisation. Cloning a voice without consent is not something we support.

How many voices can a station use?
